Always be Inspired…

Growing up I always admired my mom. Her free spirit, her fashion, her home cooking, her unconditional love, her laugh, and her independence, and how she protected me. My mom is hot, ok! She is amazing and so beautiful. Her soul is pure and genuine, and her loves is deep. She always inspired me to be independent and also honor and respect other peoples perspectives, but don’t take any bullshit.

My mom would always tell me to grow a tougher skin because she knew who I am to my core. I am a lover of the Sun, butterflies, hugs, and peacocks. I am terrified of birds and I’ll have a panic attack if you try to force me to ride a rollercoaster :) My guilty pleasure is Keeping Up With The Kardashians and childhood cartoon/Disney movies like Alice in Wonderland and Beauty and the Beast. My first concert was to see my idol Mariah Carey and I’m a sucker for Trader Joe’s (it’s the aesthetically pleasing experience for me). I grew a therapeutic passion for cooking and I seek so much joy and pleasure in hosting and planning events with close friends and family. I obsess over rebranding my fashion and I enjoy talking about emotions.

To know me is to know my heart, my intentions and my love. I am an empath. It is in my DNA. Nurturing the soul is healing the soul. If you’re in to horoscopes then my earth sign of a Virgo speaks true and true.

There a moments in life when you just feel drained and tired. Overwhelmed with life or constantly living in the high not knowing when to rest. How do you stay inspired? What keeps you motivated? How do you stay happy? What do you want to leave behind?

Inspiration to me means rejuvenation. To be mentally stimulated and influenced positively. That’s what I strive to be with any connection I make.

I feel inspired…

  • Whenever I am riding a peloton ride or Pilates class- releasing endorphins and gaining energy

  • With the work I do that drives change

  • When I travel

  • Cooking and eating delicious foods

  • By strong women like Tabitha Brown, Brené Brown, Marsha P. Johnson, Simone Biles, Adele, single moms or nuturing moms

  • Community outreach

  • True passionate unconditional love and partnership

  • Helping others

  • Soulful music

  • Healthy conversations or friendship time with glasses of wine :)

  • Making someone laugh

  • Praying and spending intentional quiet time with God

  • With vulnerability and openness

Being an empath can also take a toll on emotional exhaustion and cause compassion fatigue. There are tough moments when I lean on my friends and closest family for affirmation and reassurance, and sometimes a good ass drunken dance party to inspire me back to balance; inspire me to find my center and to know that who I am to my core is needed in life- I have a purpose.

Take a look at who your circle is. Do you feel inspired to grow, challenged and stimulated? Is your winner circle cultivating a winning you or taking advantage of you and your possibilities. There are times when we must check in with ourselves and do a hard reset- and that’s ok. You don’t have to explain yourself to anyone. Putting you first is so important to keeping that inspiration lit. There are also times when you just feel clouded and need guidance and direction- tap into that inspiration.

Always be inspired. Always be authentically you.
